WELCOME To Cincinnati Human Relations Commission
 VISION
A Greater Cincinnati that is a safe, energetic, livable community of citizens who work together to overcome prejudice and build mutual respect.
MISSION
To build understanding among the citizens of Greater Cincinnati; and to eliminate prejudice, intolerance, and discrimination through collaboration with other community entities, connecting cultures and communities, and convening citizens around important issues.
The mission of the Cincinnati Human Relations Commission (CHRC) is to help our community to overcome prejudice and discrimination, build mutual respect and understanding, and become more harmonious and cohesive.
To accomplish this:
CHRC acts as a catalyst to promote the building of positive relationships between and among various groups and cultures; CHRC mobilizes institutions and individuals to resolve diversity issues: CHRC actively develops mechanisms to ensure equitable treatment of all persons; CHRC is the cornerstone of improved human relations and collaboration in the Cincinnati area; CHRC serves as a conduit for information from and to various groups including the Mayor, City Council, and the City Manager.
Human Relations encompasses relationships and interaction between people. All human interaction and exchange results in some type of relationship being established, positive or negative. CHRC attempts to foster attitudes of respect, tolerance, and unity.
The Cincinnati Human Relations Commission is authorized to study and investigate problems of relationships between various racial, religious, and ethnic groups in order to foster mutual respect and understanding, work to alleviate prejudice and discrimination in the City, and encourage equality and fairness in the treatment of all citizens to enhance the quality of life in the Cincinnati area.
