Goals and Values


Values

CHRC values people who are accepting to all cultures and learn from their mistakes. We want our community members to:
- Welcome differences, respect and protect all people, no matter what religion or race
- Demonstrate compassion and inclusion, and enable dignity
- Engage all citizens in building a harmonious and cohesive community
- Embrace non-violent actions to achieve equality and social justice


Our Strategic Goals

  1. Create awareness of youth alternatives to criminal future
  2. Foster attitudes of respect, tolerance, and unity through celebration of integrated communities and related benefits of diverse neighborhoods
  3. Welcome immigrants and improve resource identification
  4. Build collaboration and funding relationships with partners and affiliates
  5. Create an effective structure for CHRC engagement in issues being considered by city council
  6. Create CHRC foundation (an endowment of “friends of CHRC”)
  7. Maximize CHRC capacity and reach through innovative uses of technology
Human Relations encompasses relationships and interaction between people. All human interaction and exchange results in some type of relationship being established. CHRC attempts to foster attitudes of respect, tolerance, and unity.
