TODAYTuesday, December 5, 3pm-5pm in Room 115, City Hall, 801 Plum Street, Cincinnati, join Pastor Jackie L. Jackson, Community Outreach Advocate, for a round table conversation with Lucia McBath, about kids, guns, and safety.

Lucia is a national spokesperson for Everytown For Gun Safety/ Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and acts as Faith and Community Outreach Organizer.

While Lucia’s name may not ring a bell. I’m sure that the story of how her son, Jordan Russell Davis who, at the tender age of 17, was shot and killed at a Gate Gas Station in Jacksonville, Florida on November 23, 2012.

Jordan Russell Davis, was murdered by Michael Dunn, a middle-aged software developer because he was agitated about how loud her son and his friends were playing music in their car. Their case was considered a mistrial this past February. The case was re-tried in September and Michael Dunn was successfully convicted for the first degree murder of her son.

Please take a couple of minutes to view the trailer:
